Share your skills, ideas, or time to help run our shop and workshop. We have several shop-based roles available, including greeting visitors, handling sales, and arranging upcycling commissions—no experience needed, as we provide full training.
If you have experience in bookkeeping or operational support, we’d love to hear from you.
Paid Opportunities
We are currently recruiting for three distinct part-time roles (1 day per week each). These roles can be combined for the right candidate:
High Street Hub Lead
Keep our Circular Hub running smoothly! You will manage day-to-day operations, co-ordinate volunteer rotas, and oversee customer upcycling commissions. Perfect for an organised leader who loves working with people.
Programme Co-ordinator
Shape our calendar of community events! You will design and schedule our "Inspired to Act" workshops, co-ordinate with local creators, and manage event bookings. Ideal for a creative organiser passionate about sustainability.
Project Support
Help bring our big sustainability projects to life! You will assist directors with project planning, organise team meetings, and help draft and track community grant applications. Great for a proactive planner.

Join Our Volunteer Team
Alongside our ongoing hub roles, we are actively recruiting for three specific ongoing volunteer positions:
Inspired to Act Champion
Be the friendly face of our shop! You will welcome visitors, share easy sustainability ideas, and help them browse our upcycled items. Perfect if you love chatting to people and sharing green tips.
Inspired to Act Champion & Digital Operator
Help us run the retail side of the hub! Alongside welcoming visitors, you will handle cash and card sales on the till and upload new products to our Shopify system. Great if you are tech-savvy and detail-oriented.
Upcycling Artisan
Get creative and save items from landfill! Working from our workshop, studio, or your own home, you will transform donated materials into beautiful products, tackle repairs, or work on custom customer commissions.
We run ongoing recruitment drives and host Open Days twice a year.
Our next Open Day is coming up in the second half of June 2026 we’d love to see you there!

Volunteering Opportunities
Alongside our specific roles, we always welcome extra hands to help out generally around the hub. Here are our ongoing volunteering opportunities:
Work in our Hub and Shop
Come and help in what our customers tell us is where the fun happens and they leave inspired to act. Our Circular Hub and shop, currently open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from 10am to 4pm. Activities can reflect all or part of the role as people develop and full training is given. These include chatting to customers, sharing our story, answering queries, sharing event details, taking sales with till transactions, helping with displays and arranging upcycling or repair commissions etc.
Work as a Repairer
Come and help for a couple of hours in our newly requested Repair Cafe. We are still recruiting volunteers for roles such as repairing electricals, clothes, electronics, bikes or anything else, as well as welcoming customers, helping with simple information gathering, tea and cake making. If you can spare a Saturday morning once every 2 months, we'd love to have you join us.
Work in our studio
Come and help with a range of upcycling jobs including, painting, sewing, crochet. Practice your skills or learn new ones from some of our creative team.
Work at our workshop
Work on a range of larger upcycling projects such as transforming old furniture into new household items, making new items from scratch using reclaimed materials etc. There's lots of scope for experienced crafts people and novices alike. Tuition and support is provided by our team.
Run a workshop
Use your skills and experience to run a practical workshop for people who want to learn. Opportunities to run sessions in woodworking, joinery, upholstery, lamp making or any practical skills.
